Q: How many hours do I need to get my license?

A: It depends on which program you enroll in. Private pilots can solo after as little as 6-8 hours. It really depends on the individual and how comfortable they are with the cockpit, controls, self confidence, etc.. To attain your Private license is a minimum of 40 hours with a national average of 65.
